What It Is
The Mahmoud S Taman Foundation is sponsoring an essay contest for high school students in the Chippewa Valley including Eau Claire, Chippewa Falls, Altoona and surrounding communities. The theme of the contest is Equity, Diversity and Inclusion. Students currently in high school are invited to participate in this educational initiative on global citizenship, civil society, and diversity in the context of local communities in the Chippewa Valley. 1st and 2nd place winners in Chippewa Falls High School and McDonell Central High School, in Chippewa Falls, Memorial High School, North High School and Regis High School, in Eau Claire, and Altoona High School in Altoona, will receive $300 and $200. One category of student entries from all other high school plus home schooled students will receive one first and second place prize.

Eligibility: Students currently in high school in grades 9 to 12 in Chippewa Valley area high schools. 1st and 2nd place winners in Chippewa Falls High School and McDonell Central High School, in Chippewa Falls, Memorial High School, North High School and Regis High School, in Eau Claire, and Altoona High School in Altoona, will receive $300 and $200.
